Colours of Autumn Part II

Hi Ladies!

I thought I would continue with the theme of Autumn colours as there are so many lovely products out in the shops at the mo!

I am going to keep this post light on the words and heavy on the photos :)

Some of the products I am loving include various plum nail polishes and lipsticks, warm perfumes and nude tones eyeshadows...enjoy:

From L-R there is:

Dior eyeshadow trio in 571 smokey nude, the perfect eyeshadow quad to go with bold lips.

Nails Inc Savile Row

Essie Bahama Mama, currently on my toes!

Revlon 340 Stunning, great for an accent nail.

Gucci Premiere (EDP), a recent present. I am usually a Chanel and Jo Malone girl when it comes to scents, but this is a great woody floral scent which looks fab on the dressing table :)

Rimmel 330 Sloane's Plum Moisture Renew Lipstick. As many of you requested, a cheaper alternative to the YSL lip stain I posted. This is a very wearable plum colour with fab colour payoff!

Enjoy the swatches/close-ups!

Louis Vuitton Trevi PM and Tapage Bag Charm

I got very spoilt last month as my Hubbie treated to me to a LV Trevi PM in Damier Ebene and a LV Tapage Bag Charm!

I have wanted a LV handbag for a while now and was very happy to go into the LV shop at Westfield and walk out with one. Their customer service was exceptional!

I wasn't sure whether to buy this bag or not due to having a wee toddler but after trying it on in the shop, I knew it would be perfect. It has both a shoulder strap and top handles which fold down, so it can be used for Mummy time during the day, and if you whip the shoulder strap off it is very chic bag used for going out to dinner etc. A great all rounder.

It is also pretty roomy, I manage to fit all the essentials in there and have some room left over :)

I couldn't resist blinging my bag up with the Tapage bag charm! It is gorgeous! I have had loads of compliments on this. I think bag charms are great as you can obviously use them on different bags thereby changing their look very easily.

Here are some eye candy photos:

The charm!

A final one:

Hope you all have a lovely Sunday ladies!

Colours of Autumn

Hi Ladies!

I am back! Apologies for my extended absence. I have missed blogging and reading your comments!

I could not have come back at a better time than at the beginning of my favourite season, Autumn. I love the warm rich colours you see everywhere from a walk in the park to the clothes in the shops.

I have been reading the much awaited September issues of the magazines and have been very happy to see the trend for berry colours in make up, this is right up my street :)

I love all hues of berry colours especially dark pinks and purples and have alot of these shades in my make up bag/closet already.

However, I could not resist a couple of new purchases as I wandered around the shops last week. I picked up a beautiful Essie nail polish and a lip gloss from YSL.

The Essie Nail Polish (with flash):
No flash:
It is called Angora Cardie (love the name!):
I also bought my first YSL Rouge Pur Couture Vernis a Levre in number 4. YSL advertise this as a glossy stain and it is exactly that! It is a stunning plum colour perfect to see you through the colder months. It goes on to your lips very wet and runny but sets immediately leaving a beautiful glossy stain. Another bonus is that it has great staying power! With flash:

A couple of swatch of the nail varnish and glossy stain:
As you can see from the swatches, they make a great duo for the lips and nails! xoxo

Hauuuuuul!

Hi Ladies,

I hope you all had a lovely week :) I spent most of mine in the back garden with my little one :)

I have ordered a few things online this week and also went out shopping today - always dangerous.

One of my cousins (who happens to be stunning!), posted a photo of herself wearing a red lippie and I thought it looked fab. Now, I think I own every shade of pink and nude lipstick possible, but I don't have a single shade of red!

After a bit of browsing I found two perfect shades at Estee Lauder and Dior.

The Estee Lauder lipstick is from their new Bronze Goddess Range for Summer 2012 and is the colour 45 Urban Auburn:

This lippie is from their new Pure Colour Lasting Creme range and has an incredibly soft texture.

From Dior (love the packaging!):

From Dior I bought a red lip liner, which happens to be incredibly long, in the shade 863 Holiday Red :), the new Dior Addict Extreme in 829 Sunset Blvd and their SkinFlash. I wasn't planning on buying the SkinFlash but the sales lady put it on my lips before the lippie to show its true colour and it really worked a treat. She also showed me how to use it on other areas of my face to highlight and conceal and I was impressed. I have to say the sales lady at Dior was brilliant, she really made you feel like you were buying a premium product and provided great advice on all of the products. She also gave me a Dior Privilege Card. One of the perks is to get their magazine which I will be looking forward too! She also gave me a tiny Dior keyring!

Here is a swatch of the lippies on my hand (below), with the lipliner at the top, followed by the Dior and Estee Lauder lippies:

Moving onto nails...I bought some sorbet coloured Essie nail polish and one Nails Inc shade for Summer which I am loving!

From L-R these are Essie Carousel Coral, Nails Inc Warwick Avenue and Essie Lovie Dovie.

I am currently wearing Nails Inc Warwick Avenue:

A bit of skincare...I have heard ALOT about Alpha-H on the beauty blogs and as QVC had a great offer on, I thought I would try it out. The set I bought consists of their Balancing Cleanser with Aloe Vera, Absolute Eye Complex (this had amazing reviews on their website), their newly launched Age Delay Night Treatment and their Holy Grail product Liquid Gold. I am really looking forward to using these products, especially the Liquid Gold and Absolute Eye Complex. I will be posting an update in a few weeks about how I get on with this range.

Lastly, I bought this summery top from Topshop. I thought it would be easy to wear with cut off leggings and cover a multitude of sins at the same time!

Phew! Long Post! I will defo be posting some FOTDs and OOTDs with the above mentioned products/top.

I hope you all have a fab Jubilee Long Weekend! Enjoy! xxxx

Summer Scents

Hi Ladies,

A few years ago I would have one trusty bottle of perfume sitting on my dressing table. I would wear this no matter what the occasion or weather. This bottle was always a Chanel number, usually Allure, Chance or Mademoiselle.

However, my collection has slowly been expanding. On my recent numerous trips through duty free I bought a couple which are perfect for the Summer months. These are Issey Miyake Florale and Jo Malone Vintage Gardenia Cologne.

The Issey Miyake comes in the classic L'eau D'Issey bottle but with a hint of pink. It also came with a great handbag size bottle:

I have always loved this scent. The Florale features fresh notes of lily, mandarin and rose. This is a perfect everyday summer scent.

I also picked up my favourite Jo Malone colgone:

This scent is a staple for me during Summer and can also be layered with the other Jo Malone fragrances during the colder months.

What perfumes do you wear during the Summer?

P.S The new Gucci Flora range smells divine!

Links of London XS Sweetie Bracelet

Hi Ladies,

My lovely hubbie treated me to a little Links of London bling last week. I love Links of London jewellery. I did have the original Sweetie bracelet many years ago when it was first launched but managed to lose it :(

I had seen the XS Sweetie bracelet on a friend and it always caught my eye. When I saw the version with turquoise stones I fell in love with it, as I love all types of stones.

Presenting the Links of London XS Sweetie Bracelet with turquoise stones:

I have been wearing this everyday since I got it. It is extremely versatile for stacking other bracelets or to wear alone. I currently have the Thomas Sabo Mother of Pearl horn charm on it and wear it stacked with my diamond bangle.

This will defo be featuring in my future OOTD posts!

What do you think of Links of London jewellery?

Holy Grail Hair Products!

Hi Ladies,

I hope you are all enjoying the sun! My wee one and I have spent the last two days out in the garden :)

Speaking of the wee un (I am not blaming her in any shape or form!) but since she was born my once silky hair has become incredibly dry :(

In the last year, I think I have tried every nourishing hair product going from supermarket shampoos to the top of the range hair elixirs.

So, what have I concluded?

I would certainly say a mix of warm oils used as a deep conditioning treatment from none other than the kitchen cupboard works a treat! I personally use a mix of almond, coconut, mustard and olive oil. Sometimes I also mix in my Moroccon Hair Oil/Keratase Elixir. I tend to leave this in my hair over night.

Now, when it comes to shampoos and conditioners. I have used L'oreal, John Frieda, Keratase, Phyto, Ojon...I think you catch the drift!

I am currently using the new offering from Keratase:

This is designed specifically for long hair and claims to leave the 'hair with a frizz-free finish with weightless movement and a natural glossy sheen'. To say I have become weary of these claims would be an understatement! However, I have to say that these products are doing what it says on the bottle - woohoo! I was incredibly impressed with how soft my hair felt, it was also very shiny!

The only other products I use which live up to their claim are John Frieda and my favourite hair products of all - Phyto.

Do you suffer from dry hair - I would love to know what you use to combat this.
